Lands of Solishia
Realm of Beasts

History of Solishia
How the realm came to be
There was nothing, but the wildlife in the plains and forests, their presence was not seen too much by humans as no actual human has set foot in these uncharted lands. One day, a terrible storm crashed down killing many animals who then left their corpses to rot in the sunlight. It is rumored that it was the reminisce of every cell from these dead creatures that created the very first shifters who will be referred to as the Animus. Animus is the racial name of shapeshifters who started life as a regular animal then gain the ability of humanity once their age is of at least 3-5 months that their fur, scales, feathers, or whatever hide start to wither away to give them flesh and walk on two legs. They will not know about clothing right away, because their mind does not register to cover themselves. A bunch of islands each with their own terrains and the many locations upon each that can be explored, some holds many secrets and who knows what shifter inhabitant may uncover in their own homeland without realizing, this suddenly is known to them!! After a while, the Animus begins to understand how to cover their naked forms, cleaning themselves, to other basic needs and wants. The animal they were born as will also have the characteristics when they become homid mode that is similar to that of a human body but looks humanoid to be exact.
The Premise:
All your life, you never knew nor understood what it meant to be in the footsteps of humanity, the homo sapien. Here, in the Archipelago is a whole different universe where the term "human" is considered taboo and the word itself is not whispered in the retromorphs who the first wolves adopted the name as "Animus" to explain the new lively hood of walking on twos than the animal life they once lived. Whatever the group you come from, whatever the animal you once were, the human form or homid here is that you act upon your animal characteristics based on your animal type. If you was born a wolf, that will make you a Lycaos which is the proper reference for the wolf in you. During the few days, perhaps months into walking on two legs, bearing the flesh of man, you don't necessarily have it altogether since you've been a creature of the wild all your life. You begin to wobble at first, fall a couple of times, then you begin discovering the world in a whole new light. Oh! Did I forget? You're um...naked, nude, you do not wear any clothing. Animus, most of them anyway, are not exactly ashamed of their bearing necessities for this particular storyline does warn players about the nudity content that is displayed, as most of them hate the idea of donning on clothing just cause they prefer being free from such nuisance, others don't mind, while there are the shy types who might cover themselves, either way, they see fit. Depends on their personality traits. The Archives depicts just about the animals or Animus who comes from their animal group, how many Animus they are all says who they really are once they trigger their first step as a mere mundane. Also, each Animus belongs to a specific group even though they do share similar breeds doesn't mean they are the same species. Breed & Species differentiate from one another.
For example:
Let's say, you decide as to the player, you want to go for a plain wolf. However, there are many kinds of wolf packs which will be the ancestry you derive from as a wolf, this is who you are. You began life as a wolf, run with the wolves or you probably struck out as the lone type. Adopted into the fold perhaps. Your race is that of the Lycaos, the Lycaos homeland is the Town of Carran, a forest that is wide with a whole space to run in, hunt, it is available for the Lycaos who may decide to clear their heads that day, go on a group hunt or lone hunt, it is also there for many festivities, ceremonies, along with other events. This is your breed, the Lycaos.
Next, your wolf has to come from somewhere. Your past, your family, your pack life or you wandered alone as your mother gave birth to you outside of the pack or you were adopted into a pack, but you was totally different from the pack you was adopted in, while you were actually born to another pack at birth, raised in a different one. This will be your species. Your bloodline, lineage. Who knows? Someone from that same line might be familiar, relative, old companions, or you haven't noticed them until now since they may have been lower on the totem pole.
Islands of Solishia
Alumicas
Alumicas (Canine Isle)
is the largest and central island within Solishia. It is home to the canis. There are usually a lot of guards roaming these areas, when a visitor approaches, one can spot two or more guards of their respective groups that approaches them in packs so that the current leader of that pack of canines, homid or animal mode, will often address those not of their race or species. Alumicas is mostly forests and woods, mountains, cliffs, a few rivers, some lakes and a meadow. There is also a tundra to the far east.
Locations:
Carran: The Carran Forest is huge, it's no wonder the wolf people or wolf shifters calls this place, home. There are tons of pine trees and oak trees, a few lakes, some mountains, hills even, along with vegetation stretching about 3,000 acres. There is tons of wildlife where the wolf folk can hunt and run in using this much space. Anyone can get lost in these parts if their tracking senses aren't that great like the wolf folk also known as Lycaos. The Lycaos value their families and packmates strongly. Their homes is etched in treetops, beneath the trees, to inside of mountains that has rooms for the wolf folk. There is a stonehenge with a large circular area with beautiful flowers surrounding the outside of a dirt circle within it. This is where the Lycaos have some of their festivals, but there are often other spots they party or hold ceremonies than in the stonehenge. Sometimes, it's on the beach of Carran, other times, on top of a cliff that has wild flowers growing on it.
Tupicu(Feline Isle)
A few distance away, but not too far from Alumicas Island is the cats domain. Tupicu is haven of feline fury and plenty of claws to go around. Being a cat allows the people here to be able to use what weapon and talents has been given to them, they do use it indeed. There are a few jungles, some tundras, plains, wastelands, even a few deserts, to a few rainforests along with a marsh to boot. A lot of lakes, few rivers, and an ocean complete with two seas completes this feline paradise. Not to forget high peaks is shown in the distance. Lot of fierce competition, powerful energy can be felt, most cat shifters here come on their own accord to approach their visitors and rogue cat shifters alike. They don't play around either as they only need to make a point across using their own sets of claws, but some of them are rather nice to visitors who aren't one of their own. They do take caution for strangers literally.
Locations:
Desulon: Home of the lion shifters, it’s structure reminds you of Athens, Greece as you step through double, wrought iron gates. Before you are beautiful marble stairs going upwards, there are at least five levels with the lowest level where the main square also called the town square is situated with a large, marble fountain spewing water from a statue of an archer at the top. The streets and pathways are completely made of marble-like everything else here. Four stone pillars surround the marble fountain, small lion statues is seen on the top of the pillars to emphasize the territory of lions here. Lion shifters whose position are guards usually are males, for it is the females who bring voice all over this island and their home alike. They do a majority of the hunting here while there are the women all lined in a row on either side of the throne of the marble palace, not even the lowest lion shifters in the social caste can enter unless they’ve been invited, escorted, or has been hired to work for the current King and Queen of the lions. Desulon is to the northwest, the alleys of Desulon are for nomads and lion shifters who deal in illegal matters, good lion shifters along with any shifter who visits are warned not to venture too deeply in their fair city because it is not common sense. Many homes are made completely of marble, shops within the business district have cartels for natives who either love shopping or just go browsing the wares. This is where the citizens can purchase a pet companion for themselves or clothes, jewelry, among other things using the currency of Solishia. A lion shifter can also join a local pride or stay close to the pride they were born in. Any prideless lion shifters live in the farther southeast in the alleys known as Slum Cannon, bad lions who do not know how to behave.
Mulio (Mythical Isle)
Beautiful plantation, rolling hills, farmland that stretches many miles allowing freedom that the equine Animus are known for, no one can tell them what to do here for this area is strictly open space, running without stopping and keeping it all to themselves.
