Lycaos
The Lycaos begin their lives as a mere puppy from his/her mother and father's pack where some are born outside of one that has been either exiled or left during their pregnancy with them. When the wolf pup has just been born to his/her parent/s the whelp is blind until he/she is about a month old where they can see the world before them. Wolf vision is different for clear ones as they are color blind and only see black and white while at night it alternates to a more reddish to yellowish color that allows the ability called night vision. When the puppy is about five months they will trigger the next stage of transformation, the homid form, a human-like appearance walking on two legs instead of all fours that is totally confusing to them as kids. They appear according to the pack they are born to that determines how they look as homids. They reside in the forest of Carran which is literally a town in the northwest that is decorated with tons of trees that confuses any visitor to their territory. Lycaos with higher tracking skills can find their way with ease around the forests no matter the form they're in. Wolf abilities increase in beast mode though as homid gives superhuman abilities, but enhances twenty times. The Lycaos ancestry comes in the times of the druids who had been killed due to a forest fire causing their ancestors to run where they will find a new home on Alumicas Island, the first erected island at that. Homid forms were due to powerful magical energies on it allowing more access. Lycaos mate for life soon as they find their soulmate forming a bond. Being a wolf is not fun and games, for it means to stand on one's own, no one in the pack will hold your hand once you grow to an age where you able to think for yourself. How you carry yourself will determine how your elders, as well as your fellow kin, see you to where you are no longer a pup but a wolf who may raise in rank based on what you do for your pack and town, including the current Emperor/Empress who has been chosen to dominate all of us, he and if he so chooses his mate then all wolves regardless of purity or heritage must not only obey but show respect unto them just as you would your pack alphas.
one lesson, another two, others even three to a max of five. The protege can choose a mentor even if they never met them before in person. Pups can begin as early as five months old(wolf years). But, a pup from five to two years can be enrolled at the academy or personally mentored if they're the loner type. Some parents choose for them if they are strict sorts while others give them space to select on their own. Education cost may vary from landmark to landmark, some are free. Mentoring is best since it is also free of charge, except, they are paid based on how well they not only connect to their protege but also if they're comfortable with them. Certain mentors can be strict, others are very gentle, so pick wisely. Learning about the wolf life including how often to shift, running as a wolf, understanding the principles of being one, do's and don'ts, basic etiquette cause the young wolf does not want to die early, warned, to other consequences if they don't greet a fellow wolf on the street they don't already know appropriately. However, pups and young can get away with this as their learning! So, adults to elders may by-pass this mistake a few times that is. As long they are learning from pros then that wolf they meet will wait until the pup, young, or mature lycaos interact with him/her if they sense they're in training. Scholars also have classes for wolf studies on wolf living to other topics, there is also academia, skills, activities, breakfast, and lunchtimes cause a hungry student won't learn so effectively.
Diet
Lycaos eat raw to rare, medium-rare meat. They are after all carnivorous. The head hunter recruits skilled hunters who go out as wolves or homid forms to track down prey, they then bring it back to a cutter who then carves the meat, selling to various markets such as meat market, restaurants, that kind of thing. Is very rare to find one who likes their meat well done. They drink fresh, clean water for thirst by buying water bottles sold at their town's general store or the stream on the outskirts of the town. Poor lycaos who can't afford food nor beverage of any kind will just simply hunt, which can be difficult without hunting skills, but they may get lucky and find left-overs to get rid of hungry that can lead to starvation. When a lycaos hunger is severe, thirst is overwhelming then, he/she may go into wolf mode then kill or attack a random target without warning.
Heritage
You started life as a mere puppy, learning and playing like a majority of pups born to their wolf mothers and fathers. Was your wolf born into a pack? If so, what is that pack's name? The kind of wolf you were born as depends on several things. His/her fur color, pet, eye color, size, personality, alignment, sex(male or female). Is the wolf pureblood born of two of the same wolf pack? Mixed Blood where he/she is born of two different wolf breeds allowing your wolf to gain traits of both wolf ancestry or are they are a wolf hybrid with the characteristics and ability of their parent? (The whelp is always the animal of the mother, but with his/her father's traits while still very much wolf). However, too many hybrids in the bloodline could weaken and taint it. This is often a law in most wolf villages within Carran to prevent this from taking place while some wolf villages and its main town will allow few out of wolfdom mating to take place and marriage if they so choose to do just that.
Whether you're pure, mixed, or a hybrid wolf, you must have been raised somewhere and in some form, your attitude, alignment, personality says a whole lot about you. Below are the backgrounds to help you, as the player create your wolf, who is either pack or loner. You may also be part of a pack, but you chose to leave to pursue a goal, a place in life when you finally triggered the homid form, walking on two legs without relying on four legs.
Pack life- Born a wolf, you have always lived and raised in a pack. The pack you hail from among the list below says a lot about you. Your pelt, your eye color, alignment, personality, demeanor, all of it. You are loyal to the current pack in Carran town that may be erect and you know exactly how to give the first impression to the current alpha who is expecting you. There are many packs in Carran, but only one draws you in, you feel it deep down, that pack like your past pack you were born in will determine who you are as an individual.
Wild Wolf - You were born in the wilderness with no pack whatsoever. You've always lived as a loner. Pack wolves and their pack leader/s shun you away or accept you into the find if it's one of those packs no matter the alignment they are. Most Wild Lycaos are independent but fall into desperation for a family that they would eventually seek out a pack.
Tainted life - A young wolf born into exiled wolves who were dark and sinister. Your heart is dark, you are dark, there is no turning back. You only known evil, but some of them run away right before some of the wolves learned
